ART CONSULTANT - PART TIME

Defying the notion that good original art must carry a high price tag, HANG ART opened ten years ago with the objective of making high quality paintings and sculpture available to a broader public. The gallery represents over 65 of the Bay Area's top emerging artists in an unpretentious environment. In its history, HANG ART has acquired a reputation as the place to go for top quality yet affordable art, exceptional customer service, and a truly enjoyable buying experience.

We are seeking a high-energy, service-oriented Art Consultant to work part time in our high-traffic San Francisco gallery. An hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications will be provided, as well as a quarterly sales commission. Though not guaranteed, the position may evolve into a full time role.

The Art Consultant's job is an opportunity to participate in all aspects of the gallery's operations. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Selling art work.
  • Receiving and cataloging art works.
  • Corresponding with clients and artists.
  • Stuffing envelopes, sweeping floors, touching up the walls—everything required to keep the gallery operating efficiently.
  • Reviewing prospective artist portfolios.
  • Installing monthly exhibitions and regularly rotating the art on view in an area of the gallery.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PART TIME ART CONSULTANT JOB:
